MIPT researcher Jukka Hirvasniemi, Ph.D., received a 3-year Academy of Finland Postdoctoral Researcher funding (252 300 €) for a project “Automated analysis of X-ray and magnetic resonance image features in prediction and diagnosis of osteoarthritis“. The host institution of this project is the Center for Machine Vision and Signal Analysis, University of Oulu, but the project will be conducted in a close collaboration with MIPT.
MIPT researcher Heikki Nieminen, Ph.D., received a 5-year Academy of Finland Research Fellow funding (434 485 €) for a project “Ultrasound-enhanced fine-needle biopsy (USeFNB): sound-tissue –interactions“. The host institution of this project is University of Helsinki.
